WNZR's Costumed paws on parade returns for 2026!

WNZR is honored to partner with Experience Mount Vernon to bring this annual tradition to  

August First Friday on 8/7/26. 

The parade registration and lineup will take place from 6:30pm - 7:10pm at the Dog Fountain, near WNZR’s Big Blue. The parade starts at 7:15pm. 

The parade route starts at the Dog Fountain, travels north on Main Street, and ends at the Main Stage on the Public Square. All dogs will be introduced from the Main Stage.

​Complete Care Animal Hospital has goody bags to the first 50 dogs that sign up for the parade. (Costumes are not required). 

 
We Love Pets has 3 doggy prize baskets: 
 

• one for small dogs 

• one for medium dogs  

• one for large dogs  

Registration for these baskets will take place at Big Blue (on 8/7). 

​We will give out 3 Awards:  

• Most Creative Costume 

• Dog the Judges Most Want to Take Home  

• Best in Show  

Special trophies are being provided by Trophyworks. 

We are also giving away a 45-minute Pet Photo Session with Emily Morrison Arts!  
You get the choice of 15 Web Size Photos or two 4X6, two 5X7 or two 8X10 prints!
