WNZR is partnering with Starting Point Pregnancy & Family Resource Center for the 2026 5k & Family Glow Night on Saturday, October 3rd! 

WNZR is proud to partner with the wonderful organization, Starting Point Pregnancy & Family Resource Center for their Annual Fundraising 5k! 

Join us on Saturday, October 3rd for an evening of family fun!  
The 5k & Family Glow Night event features: 
  - a laid back 5k (that you can either run or walk) 
  - family activities including a bounce house from Mount Vernon Bounce House 
  - yard games  
  - an abundance of glow items to enjoy 
  - Coffee from Sweet Bubble & Bean Coffee Truck 
   -  Ice Cream for the kids from Round Hill Dairy

WNZR will be there broadcasting in Big Blue! 

There will be something for everyone to enjoy! Be sure to register today!

Prizes will be given away to the first man, woman, student and child (4-12), who complete the FULL 5k route!  
All adult attendees will be entered to win a family themed prize pack courtesy of Brandon Baptist Church!  
A pizza party will be awarded to the youth group who raises the most money for Starting Point!

This year’s event will be held at The Chapel at Mount Vernon Nazarene University, 800 Martinsburg Road in Mount Vernon. 

​

The event begins at 6:00pm with the 5k starting at 7:00pm.

Children (4 – 12) - $10, includes a ticket for free ice cream and a race packet 
Student (13 – college) - $15, includes a t-shirt and race packet 
Adults - $28.52 (includes a $3.52 processing fee), includes a t-shirt and race packet 

​

Event Schedule: 
6pm – Registration & Packet Pick Up (food vendors & family activities available) 
6:45pm – Welcome with Jamie Parry, Starting Point Board Member  
7pm – 5k/Walk begins!  
7:45pm – Prize Giveaways with Abby Almodovar, Marketing & Outreach Coordinator 
8:00pm – Event wrap up and Closing Prayer with Marcy Rinehart, WNZR Station Manager
